Although we seek to push the envelope on genetic progress, we refuse to do so at the expense of function, longevity, and maintaining the type and kind we all love in a great Angus female.

Make them Good.

Our program has one over-arching focus: creating functional, attractive, trouble-free cattle that can succeed in multiple applications. We put an intense focus on both data and eye-appeal. That’s what we refer to as a good one.

Although we seek to push the envelope on genetic progress, we refuse to do so at the expense of function, longevity, and maintaining the type and kind we all love in a great Angus female. We also put a premium on reproductive efficiency, structural soundness, and docility.

We seek to achieve this delicate balance of traits by planning ultra-targeted matings for each female in our program.

It's easy to get caught up in the data. And we believe the "numbers" do matter. But in a world often hyper-focused on genomics, we do need to remind ourselves that the numbers aren't everything. Breeding for extremes oftentimes comes at the expense of function. We are big believers in multi-trait selection. Balance is what provides profitability and sustainability.

A long-term vision and a reluctance to chase each and every latest fad will enable us to raise profitable cattle - for our herd, your herd, and for the Angus breed. Give us a call, let's talk cattle.
